FIX: The program put together on the FIX stage of the Huolla ja rija exhibition invites us to take care of our common environment together and entices us to be smart. The versatile and open program includes repair demonstrations, discussions, workshops and events. The repair shows are recorded, and the videos are later shared on the museums’ websites.

The series of repair shows presents four master repairmen highlighted in the exhibition at work. The work of the masters is observed in log repair, Japanese traditional Kintsugi, Sashiko embroidery and parsing and patching. Come and take a peek into the master repairman’s workroom and working methods!

Parsing and patching 7.11.–10.11.2024

The fourth repair show of the series will be organized in collaboration with MinttuWikberg, which specializes in parsing and patching, on November 7-8, 2024 from 13:00 to 15:00, on November 9-10, 2024 from 13:00 to 15:00, from 16:00 to 18:00.

Involvement

The event is in Finnish.Participation with a museum ticket. There is no advance registration for the event. The event can accommodate 50 participants on site.A recording of the exhibition space will be published after the event on the websites of the Design Museum and the Architecture Museum.
